WHY ARE QUALIFICATIONS IMPORTANT?
VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY
Currently the title 'Veterinary Physiotherapist' is unprotected, meaning that anyone can use it, without actually having any qualifications.
However, 'Physiotherapist' and 'Chartered Physiotherapist' are protected by law. These titles can only be used by those who have studied to a high academic and practical level.
At Camel Estuary Physiotherapy we are members of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT). This means we had to gain our human physiotherapy degree prior to commencing the Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
